Amsterdam is the greatest and the capital city of the Netherlands. This city is also called "Mokum" by the people living in Amsterdam. This city is situated in the province North Holland. The city counts 742.880 inhabitants.


Tourism
A lot of people pay a visit to Amsterdam to shop, in the P.C. Hooftstraat, the Kalverstraat, Nieuwendijk, Leidsestraat, Magna Plaza and other shoppingareas, as well as markets like the Albert Cuypmarkt, Waterloopleinmarkt, Dappermarkt and the Flowermarket situated on the Singel.
In Old-South you find the most expensive shoppingstreet; the P.C. Hoofstraat, here you can also find our hotel ROBERTRAMON.


Shopping isn't everything, because there is a lot to see in this city, like the museums situated on the Museumsquare, like the Van Gogh Museum, Rijks Museum. Other examples are the Anne Frank Huis, Stedelijk Museum.
Also the city has coffeeshops, the famous Red Light District, and for an evening clubbing you can let yourself go at the Leidsesquare or Rembrandtsquare.
There are a lot of things todo for everybody, young and old.
To get a good view of the city, you can also join a touringboat, that will offer you a tour through the city on the water.
